Best bet to beat Elrich?

If my number one criteria for County Executive is that it not be Marc Elrich, who should I vote for? I'm worried the other candidates are going to split the come and Elrich will get in on a plurality. Has an alternative consensus candidate emerged at all?

I feel like that is literally what happened with Donald Trump! So many candidates many of whom would’ve been better but the worst one came out on top because the votes were so split.

Also don't like Elric and I'm a MCPS teacher in which the union has endorsed. I support the union just not the candidates.

I wish Leggett would endorse Blair. I’m not even a huge supporter but if he got that endorsement, added to the wapo endorsement, that would go a long way towards locking up the moderate dem vote. Right now, I see very little hope that Elrich loses. I live in Takoma Park and there are plenty of us here who view him as the absolute worst choice for the county.

^^ i’d also add I’m not a huge Blair booster either - I’m just adamentlu opposed to Elrich and think that, right now, Blair has the best shot of pulling ahead. I’d be fine with pretty much anyone else tho too, as long as it isn’t Elrich.

Bill Frick knows how to form coalitions and is both business- and family-friendly. He's been in Annapolis for years and is a good guy. Please look closely at him. He's Blair, but with legislative experience.

Leggett would never endorse Blair. Blair knows nothing about County government, and he never votes! Whatever people may think of Leggett, he is engaged in his work.

Blair is trying to buy his seat, and Frick knows nothing of local politics. Leventhal is a disaster case and pisses people off. Berliner is in bed with Developers. I like Rose Krasnow. She has knowledge of local info 2nd people, can work with others (Erlich can't).

I like her, too. But I don't think she has much of a chance. She entered the race late, and she really hasn't done anything to distinguish herself from the others, other than the fact she's a woman.
