Games were often during the week but several were on weekends and could be as far away as Annapolis. They also had a spring break trip that went up to PA and then to FL - I believe it was optional but all girls went. It's a lot of time but if you're a girl who loves lacrosse it doesn't seem like a grind. We actually felt like it was less stressful than middle school where she played on her school team (daily practices and about 12 games), and then also had her club team practices and spring season - that got a little crazy.
This is spot on. High school lax was a huge relief after the pressures of club and school lax in the elementary (club only) and middle school years. A big part of it is that your girl will have her weekends back. So while there is a lot of pressure during the week to keep up with classes, especially if your girl is at a high pressure school, she actually ends up having a little more free time because the weekends are so much easier.
