Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| I'm about 37 weeks pregnant and am thinking of buying a few pre-made meals to freeze and re-heat in those first couple of weeks post-partum. I'm going to cook one or two freeze ahead meals, but have limited time with work, so I'd like to purchase some too. I've heard of Let's Dish, but it doesn't look that healthy, i.e., the dishes come with white rice or pasta and few veggies. Does anyone know of a healthy alternative in Nova, especially something not too far from Falls Church? Thanks! |

Have you considered a personal chef? I've used a personal chef off and on for the past year, it makes dinner soo much easier to deal with! This might be what you're looking for: www.MainCourse.us. The chef is great, he works with you to customize your menu and meal plan so you get just what you want. And he cooks in a commercial kitchen (not in your house), and delivers your meals to you at home.

I cannot speak highly enough of dinnerzen. We live in dc and so it is a hike to reston but I'm happy to do it because I am so in love with their stuff. (They also deliver)
Some of their stuff comes with a frozen veggie, but I keep a couple of big bags of fresh spinach and frozen broc and stir in spinach into any rice or pasta that come with it or just supplement with my own brown rice and veggies. |
