| If you could choose where to rent, would you go IB for Eaton or Mann? Our son will start K this year and we just cannot decide where to rent. |
| Whatever works better for your commute. Keep in mind Eaton will be renovated in 2019, so will be in a yet to be determined swing space that may change the commute equation. |
| All else equal I’d do Hearst for the Deal feed. |
| Mann - smaller class size |
| Mann because of the swing space. Have you visited both schools? |
| Mann: it's already been renovated a few years ago. Eaton will be renovated in two years, meaning disruption and possibly a swing space for at least two years in a different location. |
Why didn’t Hearst add on to its building to provide more space and be a bigger school? Wasted opportunity. |
| Which one has chickens? |
Janney. Eaton can’t fit kids on the playground, let alone chickens. |
| Mann. Eaton is overcrowded and has no green space. |
Among Mann, Eaton and Hearst, Mann is clearly the strongest school academically. It has a beautiful building and ample, shady outdoor play space. Eaton is the most "urban" of the schools. |
Hearst paradoxically is the only school that feeds to top-ranked Deal for middle school. Mann and Eaton are assigned to second-tier Hardy. |
And now DCPS wants to add almost 100 more students to Eaton. Go figure! |
Hearst added a huge addition in the last 5 years. |
Mann is basically Chevy Chase, MD quality in Northwest Washington. |
