Jeff, I know you are busy but I can't help wondering if the post in the Nanny Forum warning parents about a specific nanny is for real. I don't know how you would tell or not but it is serious and strange. The reason I ask is because there have been a few recent posts on more than one forum where the OP proposes or describes a really odd situation or question that with any knowledge of how things work around here, will without a doubt will cause some type of fracas, disagreement, argument, whatever you might call it. The OP never comes back, despite repeated questions or requests. Sock puppets, trolls, people having fun, a journalist major at AU, or actual sincere posts? Any opinions? |
Honestly, I don't know what to think about that post. Some time ago, the same post was posted multiple times (basically, in every nanny search forum). I deleted it because I don't allow cross-posting. Today, the post was posted in two forums. I deleted it from one.
It was also posted on Craig's List: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/kid/1410406425.html The poster appears to be serious about getting this story out. On the other hand, I find the story to contain some strange inconsistencies. So, I just don't know what to think. |
That makes two of us-thanks for the opinion, Jeff. If the story is true, then it is important but really can't help anyone without more identifying details and I still wonder why the authorities weren't contacted. Maybe we'll never know. |
