ITS or Lee for PK3

Both are close to us so thats not a concern. ITS has middle school, and Lee has Montessori. We can't seem to make a decision about which one should be more important.

Go with the pedagogy you prefer. Both are great schools. Lee should have a middle school by the time you will need one-- ITS's seems to be doing great as well

I don’t know how the demographics of the schools compare but if socioeconomic and racial diversity are important to you, you could factor in those points to your decision. Or, sounds like you might live in the neighborhood? Seems like a lot of ITS families live nearby which makes activities and play dates easy. Finally, compare aftercare costs if you need it. That can be sticker shock if you haven’t planned for it!

Personally I would choose ITS because the middle school is a real thing happening now. It seems to take even the best-managed charters a while to get a middle school on a solid footing, so with ITS you have a few years under your belt already. With Lee, I'm not privy to the details but it seems like it'll be a while yet before there are any students in those grades.

Its! Great teaching, active family association and ability to course correct together.
Lee is a little less established.

I think demographics are the same.

Personally, I would pick ITS in a heartbeat.

We made this choice and went with Lee. Montessori was important to us, and now heading into our third year, we feel like we made the right decision for sure.

I have a friend with kids at both schools. She loves both schools but will soon move her Lee student to ITS for long term. She’s lucky since she has the option via sibling preference. It would be hard for me to pass on a solid path through middle school.

I have heard amazing things about Lee...we are at a different Montessori and are happy but from what I understand Lee's Montessori program is excellent. I am hoping for the Montessori middle school that has been discussed comes to fruition.

Do you know why she is choosing ITS? Is it jut because of the middle school feed?

Will the middle school be at Lee's current site? This is not a criticism of Lee, but as someone with kids 3 years apart, the convenience of having them both at ITS is very appealing to me.

Cannot speak to ITS, but having seen three of the four montessori charters in person, Lee is a top, top choice.

I think she has said that ITS is overall stronger school with great teachers. She has never said anything negative about Lee and loves Montessori for the one at Lee.

I'm not sure if PP is talking of either of the two families I know with kids at both schools, but both have been clear that they will move only when their kids age out of Lee.
