Best drugstore options for frizzy dry hair?

The humidity and rain is making it worse, but my hair and my daughter's hair need some intervention. Looking for shampoo, conditioner and any other products that will tame the beast.

Thanks!

bump - I need some ideas too!

I would try some of the styling oils. They help my hair and aren't pricey. I actually prefer the one Suave makes because it's a spray and not a work-in-with your fingers. Also, stop washing your hair.

shampoo only once a week
i like moroccan oil or others like that, but there is thicker stuff too for this weather
pull hair back and let it dry like that

Coconut oil. I am actually doing a deep conditioning using that tonight when I get home from work. I'll leave it in for a couple of hours, then wash and condition as normal.

My hair will be less dry, less frizzy, more curly, more shiny.

This. Every other day for 5 minutes. You'll thank me.

Frizz ease products—I’ve tried expensive salon stuff and always come back to these.

Olive oil & Garnier gel. Also, wash less / condition more.

Personally, I wash every day. I use the Costco brand moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Then a leave in conditioner and a styling gel, and air dry. The key is lots of moisture and as little touching (drying, combing, etc) as possible.

Just about any product made by Deva curl. Definitely start with the conditioners.

Pantene conditioner and Surface Curl products (I use the cream wax and the mousse). Air dry and touch as little as possible.

My Indian MIL taught me this - if you cover your hair/body in oil before washing then the soap will take away that oil rather than your body's natural moisture. So I've been coating my hair from the scalp down with argon oil before shampooing so the shampoo cleans my oily scalp without drying out the rest of my hair. I also use an in-shower conditioner from the scalp down and wash it out really thoroughly. Then I use a leave-in conditioner.

Other steps I follow: air dry. I use one of those towels that's not supposed to cause frizz. I wash every other day and dry shampoo the roots but not the rest on no wash days.
