| Help! Since I started back in August I gradually put on 10 lbs. I used to work out, plus as a city mom pushed the littles around in the stroller, walked everywhere. Now I have a desk job and have no idea how to lose this. It is also really difficult avoiding sweets at work. |
|
Don't eat at work. Black coffee or green tea.
Wah about the sweets. If you have the attitude you can avoid them. |
| I bring a ton of healthy things to my work refrigerator. Veggies, low sugar fruits, lean protein, low carb wraps. I bring all of these things at the beginning of the week. |
| You stopped working out, sit all day, eat sweets, and are unsure how to lose the weight? |
|
Yikes.
Carry a bunch of carrots and hummus with you at work. You have the attack of munchies. You can do it! |
This. |
| More sleep, lack of sleep make people gain weight. I |
|
Eat breakfast at home and if you can't, just drink black coffee at work.
For lunch, bring something healthy that you packed. For snacks, only fruit or drink tea; those office events will have you blowing up by more than 10 lbs if you don't watch it This is somewhat rude but look around your office, notice the fat women and think to yourself if you want to look like them. |
| You may want to climb the stairs 4-5-6 floors instead of using the elevator |
I still work out but am just shocked at how active my original lifestyle was - it kept the weight off without trying and now I have to be way more intentional. I already eat very healthy. It could also be age - I’m 35 so maybe my metabolism is slowing down now. |

You answered your own question Op - You stopped daily "exercise" (walking, pushing stroller) and to pile it it on you're siting, sedentary, and eating junk and sweets.
Why are you surprised? 10 lbs over the course of 10 months actually isn't that bad though |
Humble brag. Yes, op, we sahms already know chasing around kids all day is 2pst of daily active lifestyle esp compared to those parents who whom at a desk. Not really post worthy |
| Bet you weren't fat before getting knocked up. Do whatever you did then. And seriously, stop shoving the cake into your face. |
Yeah. I mean, you completely changed your lifestyle, OP, and diet to a significant extent. You have to make those changes back (adding walking into your work day, exercising as well, laying off the sweets, etc.). |
| Wow, I could have written this post. For me the biggest culprit has been eating lunch put everyday and my office is always full of food. I started bringing lunch go work and I am working in portion sized. I also incorporated a 2 mile walk into my day. I just made there changes and fee like I can maintain them, especially through fall. |
