Hi! I’m a responsible, professional who loves pets but currently isn’t allowed to have one. In order to get my pet-fix, I have been pet/house sitting as a side hustle. A couple of my steady clients have moved out of the area, so I’m looking to expand my business and take on some new clients. If you are traveling this summer and can’t take your pet with you, please consider reaching out to me to look after them and your house. I have lots of experience with high-need pets (administering meds, anxiety mitigation, behavior considerations, puppies/kittens, etc.) and I’m up-to-date on a variety of training techniques to keep behavior training consistent while you’re out of town.
If you’re looking for a reliable pet-sitter, please reach out to Kari at kmdenotter@gmail.com. I am happy to provide excellent references. |
| What areas do you work in? DC, MD, VA? |
|
I work in DC, MD, and VA - as long as I can get to a bus or metro fairly easily, I good since I don’t own a car. ? Most of my current clients live in NOVA (Ballston and Alexandria) but I also have clients in Georgetown, Mount Pleasant, and Bethesda.

| Are you insured? |
| I am not insured since this is a side hustle as opposed to a full time thing. |
|
Are you on Rover?
|
I am also a part time pet sitter/dog walker and would recommend you get insurance even as a part time walker! You can get it for $200 a year, you could be ruined financially if anything happens to a pet you are watching. |

Are people allowed to solicit business on this site? Do not think so.
OP, post on the various neighborhood listservs that you would like to work in. Not here. |
| You should join Rover. And get insurance. Your “side hustle” could cause a serious legal problem for you if anything goes wrong. |
