13 Reasons Why - Season 2

Anonymous
Is anyone watching or has anyone finished? What do you/did you think?

I found myself just sort of hate-watching most of season 2. I finished it this afternoon and honestly, other than a short snippet of women's stories during episode 12 (I'm keeping it vague as not to spoil), I just found it frustrating to watch.

Of course I'll have to watch season 3 if there is one to see what happens next.

I'm almost done with it. I too find it frustrating to watch...

Only on episode 5, but I don’t like it as much as the first season.

I’ll be the dissenter. I liked it much better than the first season. And while I get appreciate “the contact 13 Reasons Why” campaign at the the start of the episodes, I think they should have included messaging from the It Gets Better Campaign.

I just finished it tonight with my teens. I didn’t like it as much as the first season, but it did still provide good opportunities for discussions here. Lots of pausing and debating. They both still said they liked it but were frustrated at the lack of reaching out to adults for help.

IA that the court scene with the women (I don’t think they actually all testified tho?) was powerful.

The last episode with Tyler was brutal to watch. Also, his storyline felt so rushed.

I read that if there’s a season 3 Katherine Langford won’t be part of it. That’ll be interesting.

I liked it, not more than season 1 but I did enjoy it. The finale was tough to watch.

I was bored by the first episode of Season 2. I won't finish it. I'm like that with The Walking Dead. Some shows should end earlier. We get The 13 Reasons Why from the first season.

+1 I liked seeing things told from the different character's viewpoints, and hearing things about Hannah that we didn't hear in the first season. I wasn't prepared for how brutal the finale was, though.

I just kept wanting Clay to put down what he was holding in the last scene. Put it on the ground Clay! Don't be a moron!

Is this the suicide show for teens?

What a stupid and irresponsible concept for a TV show.

It's based on a novel

That does not make it less irresponsible.

Yes, but season 2 gives us 11 Reason Why Not if you watch all the way through.

I thought it was good but the defense attorney drove me crazy. It was like she knew things that she couldn't have possibly known and she attacked the kids with it, all while the other attorney sat there and didn't redirect or do much of anything.

I'm guessing you haven't actually watched the show?
