Thanks! Sorry, not sure if spelling correctly.

I forget the name of the place, but it is in the bottom floor of an office building in Roslyn. It is pretty big and a lot of Chinese (and Chinese-Americans) who are visiting DC eat there, as well as locals.

We went here a few months ago and it was good. Gets VERY crowded very fast though, so get there early (even before it opens).

I work in Rosslyn and eat at China Garden on a freqiemt basis. It is a B rated restaurant at best. Don't expect a polished dining experience.

China Star at the Fair City Mall.

Ping Pong Dim Sum in Chinatown is upscale and yummy. Not authentically Asian though.

We always go to New Fortune in Rockville/Gaithersburg. It's delicious.

This si the best one I've eaten at so far and I've also tried the one in Rosslyn (It's good but not as authentic as the one in the Home Depot parking lot.) Is Fortune the whole name though? I thought it was a two-word name. At any rate, it's the best I know of.

IMHO the two best in the region are 1. hollywood east in Wheaton and 2. Oriental East in Silver Spring.

The waits at both can be bad though.

I am Chinese and grew up in LA where some of the best dim sum restaurants are. My favorite, by far, is Hollywood East in Wheaton. Mark's Duck House in Arlington is okay, but Hollywood East is where we go when I really need some home cookin'.

Mark's Duck House and Lucky 7, if it's still around.
