A good girlfriend and I are meeting in Savannah, GA for a quick, 3-day getaway in 2 weeks. Neither of us have ever been. Please recommend things to do, places to eat, etc. while we're there. We'll be staying near the City Center!
I'll be 12 weeks pregnant at that point, and up for anything, as long as it's not too physically demanding.
TIA! |

Food tour. May ivolve walking but the center is compact so not too much walking.
Carriage ride. |
| go to Mrs. Wilkes for lunch, they are open during the week. You have to wait in line but it is so worth it! the trolley tours take you all around and you can get on and off all day to explore the different areas. Make sure to get a hot praline at the Candy Kitchen on river street. Also lots to see in City Market, Vinny Van Go Go's is a popular pizza place among the locals! |

I actually went on a great ghost tour -- I know they're cheezy but there is so much fascinating history in Savannah. Also the regular tours are good too. Have you read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? Def read before you go!
Forsyth Park is wonderful. I just love wandering around and seeing all the squares and homes. |
I’ve been on one too, in the back of a herst (it’s on top of the car, not inside). Lots of history and it’s a fun experience if you’re not revolted by ghosts. |
This. Also, if you are a history buff, you might read Savannah by Eugenia Price. Not the most exciting read, but gives a good feel about the early years in Savannah. For fun, just wander. Lots of good restaurants. The Olde Pink House is a fine restaurant. It's one of the tourist places to go, but generally, the food is good. There are probably better restaurants, but the Pink House is famous. The Pirate's House used to be good, too. It is supposedly where pirates kidnapped people. |
The private house is where the pirates hid their booty. It is still good for what you pay and the service is always great. |
| Go for drinks at Pinkie Masters (have cash). Take Mercer House tour. Go antique shopping. |

Haven't been in years, but this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah. |
