Infertility Support and Discussion
|
after several ivf attempts at a clinic here, we're thinking of trying our last cycle at cornell. i recently received brochures on IVF from cornell and have a few questions.
for those ladies who have done ivf there: *does cornell assign a financial coordinator or are you on your own dealing with the insurance company? *did you have to pay cornell for the entire ivf cycle upfront and then send your bills for reimbursement to the ins. company? how does that work? *are their any doctors that you recommend at cornell? please advise. thanks. |
| I had a successful IVF cycle at Cornell after being told here to use DE so I think it is definitely a great idea to go up there for your last IVF cycle. I remember meeting with a financial coordinator before starting and then afterwards there was a person in billing who helped us submit everything to the insurance company so you are not on your own. You do have to pay for the cycle upfront and also some things like the co-culture and ICSI were not covered by my insurance so those were added charges along the way. I saw Dr. Owen Davis whom I highly recommend. |

thanks for sharing this info. that's reassuring to know.
so i am guessing you got any kind of pre-authorization you may have needed from your insurance company before the start of the cycle. one more question, did you stay for your entire cycle in NY? or did you have your ultrasounds and bloodwork at a local clinic here and your egg retrieval and embryo transfer there? thanks again. |
