We use a coach that is not local and my child has a video conference every week with them. They also text and I email the coach to discuss things too. Our school has not been that helpful with communicating so its been a challenge for all of us to help child stay organized with homework and such this year. The coach has helped them a lot with emotional support and anxiety concerning school work, school projects and trips, and friendships, its been like having another psychologist to some extent. They discuss ways to help stay focused, how to help frustration, etc. Having someone not local has not been a problem. We found ours through the CHADD website.

OP here. Can you please share the info? Is this an organization with coaches or an individual coach?
We would prefer have somebody face to face originally. Trying to stay as far away from computer as possible...

CHADD is an organization, their website lists ADHD resources by state. You'll have to find someone with availability near you that is a good fit. Some coaches just work with teens and some with just adults. We had originally wanted someone local but are pleased with our current setup.
