| My daughter came home and said that 20+ kids were not allowed to attend the field trip today... |
| What is LES? |
| If this is Lafayette it's because field trip forms were not turned in. |
| So? If the forms are not turned in, you don’t get to go on the trip. |
| She also didn’t let students go whose parents gave written consent through email. Ridiculous |
|
OMG why are you posting about this here?
Also, it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. |
You know what is ridiculous? Being a parent/guardian and not being able to return a form. |
| Please tell me you are all perfect parents. And that if you forgot and found the form, and still emailed the teacher saying the exact same thing the permission slip says (emergency contact, phone numbers, etc.) yet, your child was still not allowed to go. |
| Guessing these parents won’t forget in the future. |
| Uhhh can we not blame the teachers here, too? I didn’t get the form until yesterday. And the field trip was today |
But she let some kids go whose parents gave email consent. So inconsistent based on who she likes? |
Are you surprised by this...? |
DCPS requires that the teachers carry the completed forms with them on the trip so the only alternative is to not let the kids go because there was no form. Don't think this was up to the principal. My kid said the field trip sucked anyway and those that got to stay behind played on computers and got candy. |
Yup. Let's add one more thing to the teacher's plate. Making her/him print off your precious email instead of the parent just keeping track and sending it in. |
Exactly. |
