Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| I'm an avid Top Chef fan and have heard that Volt is fantastic. Is it worth the drive all the way to Frederick? Is it super pricey? |
| I am thinking about taking DH there for his bday. So, I would love to know the answer as well. The online menu looks really good. All the reviews I have read have been excellent. |

It was reviewed in the Post by Tom Sietsema awhile back and got a good review. Here is the dinner menu - looks about the same price as a nice restaurant in DC.
http://www.voltrestaurant.com/pdf/Dinner%209.09.pdf I, too, love him on Top Chef and am intrigued to see how he will do. He seems much nicer than the other DC guy from Zaytinya! |
| I am the 18:24 poster, the guy from Zatinya is just annoying. I am hoping one of the Voltaggio brothers will win!! |
| I was a little disappointed. The food was good but it was a little over-elaborate, in that the various foams and sprays were a bit of a distraction from the quality of the ingredients. It seemed a little over-fussy. |

Volt got great reviews even before Bryan Voltaggio was on Top Chef.
If you go, try to dine at Table 21 (I think that's what it's called) - the special chef's table with tasting menu |
