| I have an area in front of my house where I try to grow sunflowers every year. The first year I planted seeds only to find them removed from the ground and eaten. Then I put a 24" high gridded barrier around the area with 1" grid. Seeds still eaten. Then I decide to grow the seeds inside until they are about 6" tall. Yesterday morning I planted them in the area, with the barrier fencing, and added bird netting on top. I went out last night to water the newly planted seedlings and the leaves had all been gnawed off. I love to garden but feel just so defeated trying to keep anything in the ground. How am I supposed to grow something as simple as sunflowers? |
