IVF with Donor Eggs

Getting ready to start a cycle. I've done IVF before, but never with donor eggs. We haven't picked a donor yet, but are getting ready to...has anyone done a donor egg cycle at SG?

Yes I have done a donor cycle at SG. I would be glad to answer any questions.

Is there a waiting list for donors at Shady Grove?

No waiting list and lots of donors that are ususally ready to cycle. Good Luck!

Just wondering if you had success? Did you get your choice of first donor? Did you do 2:1 sharing, if so, did you get enough eggs. How long did it take you to get paired with a donor? Thanks!

PP Preg Loss Mentioned
Yes I got pregnant on first fresh cycle. However we lost our baby girl at 31 weeks, she was stillborn. Still not sure what happened, looking into research with a DR on what happened. That was last September. We had 4 frozen embryos left and we are still trying to get pregnant again. I had a M/C in April. We are on our last FET this month. If this does not work we have to pick a new donor and start again. As for donor after we decided to do a donor cycle I started to look at donors and they go quickly. I would pick one and tell my husband about her and wait a few days and she would be gone. But once I found our donor of our daughter it went fast. So from looking at the files to picking one maybe 1 month and then 2 months later I was pregnant. We did 1:1, not sure we can afford that now, we will see. But even with our loss the love for my daughter could move mountains, love her so much. Totally worth it!

I did 2:1 at SG because it was cheaper than most other clinics but we didn't get pregnant and we didn't have any embroyos for FET. I'm at Dominion Fetility now where they only do 1:1 and we are still waiting for our donor to be ready to cycle.
