Two Rivers waitlist movement

Anonymous
We’re in the teens at TRY and 40s at TR4 for PK3 and have seen zero waitlist movement since the enrollment deadline (our TRY number moved 1 before the deadline). I’m wondering whether there’s a lag in reporting. Anyone know of folks getting WL offers yet at either campus?

Last year they only made 3 WL offers by August for PK3 at Young, and 6 by August at 4th.

Call and ask but my hunch is that very few people who received ECE offers will give them up.

Some chance at TRY, no chance at all at TR4.

TRY parent here. Our re-enrollment deadline has been extended to June 1 to allow parents to re-enroll thru OSSE's new DC Enrollment online form which was supposed to be ready May 1 for all DCPS and charters (and still not ready, typical DC Government). So, we still have until June 1 to re-enroll, which means you ma not see/hear anything until afterwards. I agree with a PP that you may have a better shot at TRY than TR4.

OP here. Thanks all, especially for the intel about the extended re-enrollment timeframe. Very helpful!

I was expecting a very slow trickle, but was just surprised to see absolutely no movement, especially for TR4 where we have a high enough number that I figured we’d see movement from people removing themselves from the WL ahead of us. No illusions about getting in at 4th, but still watching its WL in hopes that if it moves, some who are now matched at Young will get in there and switch over.

What seems like no movement can actually be a combination of forwards amd backwards movement, if you don't check it very often.

TRY PP here. You're welcome, any even though TRY may yield better results in general, don't completely count TR4 out. We initially entered TRY for PK4 their inaugural year (2015-2016). We were matched to TRY and WL'd in the 40s for TR4. About a month into that school year, the registrar called/emailed and offered us a spot at TR4 if we wanted to transfer. We declined and stayed at Young, which I'm glad we did. We love the TRY campus. The staff is great, lots of play area, and more convenient for us commute-wise (although TR4 is still not far, but we'd be passing TRY to get to TR4).

Good points! And wouldn’t you know it, our TR4 number finally moved yesterday. Just one spot, but at least it’s a change!
