I am a student in a post-graduate program in Infant and Young Child Observation at the Washington School of Psychiatry. I am looking for a family with a newborn, between birth and 10 weeks that would allow me to observe their child beginning this semester and continuing over the next 2 years. This would involve my visiting your home for 1 hour each week, where I would be observing your baby and the interactions between your baby and the other members of the family. I would be happy to provide further information about the program at the Washington School of Psychiatry and the observation study at your request. If you would be interested in allowing me to complete my observations with your family, please contact me via email at bbarb762verizon.net.
Thank You. Barbara |

When is "this semester"? I am considering it but my baby may be due too late.
Also, how much flexibility is there with the weekly visits? It seems like a big commitment, to be home once a week for two years at the same time. Just wondering how that works. |
| When school asked for such thing from us we had a better luck asking classmates for such long commitment. |
| I should say classmates and relatives. |

There are 3 students in this post-graduate program that started September 14th. We are asked to secure a family with a young infant and begin our observations by early November. I can be flexible regarding the times that the observations are scheduled, though I do work Monday-Friday 630-330, so afternoons and evenings are best during the week. Weekends would also be okay. One hour each week is required and we are seeking a commitment that would extend until the Spring of 2011, with the summer off. I can provide further information as needed.
