I don’t know but my 10 year just started and many of his friends are playing it. He’s using a MacBook and in the kitchen where I’m around. I wouldn’t let him where I can’t supervise since I don’t know enough about it. He told me there is an option where people can talk to each other. So far he’s talking to his friends but I don’t want him talking to strangers.

We don’t allow our 8 and 10 year olds to play. But all their friends have become drooling lunatics who are only capable of playing it or talking about playing it.

It has to be a current ipad - not an old ipad. Or Xbox One.

And yes, ALL the kids are playing it - even kids that aren't usually all that into these types of games like this game.

It is not a 1st person shooter - but it is a shooter. No blood and various weapons. Battle Royale is basically last person standing for a particular time period until the "storm" hits - and then you are ranked according to how long you lasted, and the number of kills you made. You can also go out in squads of your buddies and complete tasks and shoot down other squads. For all the mayhem, one of my kids just likes to complete the quests (go find X boxes in this area before getting killed, etc.) and isn't into the battle part.

I’m the first PP. It isn’t any different than when they were all obsessed with Minecraft last summer, then Roblox a few months ago. Set limits and stick with them.

They can play on a mac?

Even though you can voice chat in game, it is possible to turn it off easily in the settings, at least on PC it is.

It is totally different in my mind. It is realistic looking. Woman are scantily dressed. You get a gun, and the purpose is to kill everyone.

LOL this was probably posted by a 9 yo. The typos seem just like something my 9 yo would write.

I just let my 13 yr start playing it and another shooter game. It turns out he most of his friends have been playing these games for a while now. I even have kindergarten students who play it.

My 8yr & 11yr old plays it and frankly I love the game. I really like that it's so social. My son has these groups of friends be plays with and talks to. It's basically the latest way to communicate. My sons grades have improved dramatically. He "earns" weeknight fortnight time by keeping all grades at As and Bs with more more than 2 Bs. He got straight As last quarter.
