I hope you don't me asking this and I don't mean it cruely, but ... why do you need a special gym?

Is this like a transgender locker room issue?

I agree. I’ve got major LGBTQ credibility. And I don’t understand why this is necessary.

I feel like the OP was meaning a LGBT+ friendly gym, not a gym exclusively for LGBT+. Some gyms can be a hub of toxic masculinity, which often ends up in an uncomfortable position for anyone that doesn't fall in line with that.

And it's not even just LGBT+ people who suffer from this, even the slightest non conforming of gender roles can make you a target of abuse.

Where do you live/work, OP? The DMVis a big area. I know at least two CrossFit gyms owned by LGBTQ individuals, so you can be sure if a welcoming environment there. (Both in DC)

NOVA Strength and Conditioning is LGBTQ owned and half the coaches are LBGTQ. Like most Crossfit gyms there are no locker rooms. They support LBGTQ activities causes.
