We're driving from MD to Niagara and Toronto this August, and I'm hoping to find a kid-friendly resort within driving distance of Toronto or somewhere in PA for the return trip.
We don't camp in tents, but we like lodges/cabins. Waterfront/lakefront with swimming or fishing would be great! Heck, even a nice resort with pools and kid activities would be fun. |
| Camelback or Kalahari |
| Knoebel's |
|
Seven Springs or that other place. The one whose name is escaping me at the moment. The 84 Lumber place. But both those places will be closer to MD than Toronto.
Not necessarily a resort but what about s night in Pittsburgh? If the Pirates are in town and you like baseball, you could catch s game. Or go to Kennywood. Nemacolin - the other resort is Nemacolin. |
| I am the one who said Camelback but it looks like something like Hershey Park is more on the way. |

Closer to Toronto in Erie is Splash Lagoon. But I hear it is getting a bit dirty. Still check it out.
I can’t think of any resorts at Lake Erie. Maybe a hotel there? Conneaut Lake is a bit further south but there really aren’t resorts there either. |
| There are a lot of farm stays in New York-- on the route back from Canada. We did this with my kids and it was AWESOME. They have asked like every year since to do it again. |
| There is a Great Wolf Lodge on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. |
| A little north of Toronto is cottage country. Try VRBO and rent a cottage on a lake. |
