Where are the bathrooms for Key Elementary playground?

Anonymous
We frequent the Key elementary playground many evenings per week. My son is only three so we have never been inside the school. Yesterday, I saw a poor kid peeing behind the trailer. We had to make a rush to the car and home due to a bathroom need. The school doors were locked. Is there an option I am not aware of, thanks!

No, none of the elementary playgrounds have accessible bathrooms outside the building.

Discovery might have a bathroom that’s open off hours. We’ve used it. Not sure if it’s always open.

There's a port a potty at Palisades park while construction is underway. But not all that close.

Dunkin' Donuts has a clean restroom around the corner. I've bought several iced lattes there so we can use their restroom

It's a school playground, not a public park. Adjust your expectations.

12:19 - Discovery's bathrooms are really only open during the weekends for soccer games. They're not open on weeknights when we're there for soccer practice.

You should stick to Arlington Parks and Rec playgrounds that have bathrooms or porta-potties, OP. The Parks and Rec site specifies which parks have bathrooms.

Once my now-3 year old potty trained, we had to take a break from the school playgrounds. Now we have a regular rotation of ones that have bathrooms.

Maybe try another playground. Kids should not be peeing where other kids go to school. That’s repulsive. Arlington has plenty of county parks with bathrooms.

Yeah, I find this slightly weird.

Dunkin Donuts bathroom or go to Rocky Run instead.

And also please keep your kids off the playground during the day.

OP I know you said you go in the evenings but there are parents/nannies who take young kids during school hours and MS students who play basketball when they are out of school. It is a school playground. Go when School is over and don’t except bathrooms.

As someone mention DD has a bathroom as does Euro Market and Corner Bakery.

I don't like it either--but, how about the dogs that pee there?
