2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L Choppy Gear Transition

Anonymous
I test drove a 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L and found the low gear transitions very choppy. I test drove two because I thought it was possibly an issue specific to the first one. The second one had the same issue. Anyone own one and noticed this issue? Is it something you just get used to? Have you had to make any transmission repairs so far? I liked the car other than that, and I'm deciding whether to buy the Odyssey or just go with the 2018 Sienna. I'd appreciate any feedback from owners or mechanics. TIA.

TSB 16-087 is for transmission leaks but no tsbs for poor shifting

I have a 2018 Elite and I think I know what you're talking about but you get used to it. I love all the bells and whistles that come w/ the 2018 Ody.

I own a 2018 odyssey and have never noticed this. I'm also not a mechanic so if it is very subtle, there is a chance that I just never noticed. I bought it last July and no repairs have been made. I love that vehicle!
