i'm thinking of doing this as a birthday present for DH. anyone ever done this? is there a company in DC that you recommend? how much did it cost? tia
I rented a Cadillac from one of the mainstream rental companies (forgot which). It was about $350 for a four day weekend.
I did this for a birthday in Las Vegas. They actually have a high end Hertz that does it there. Got a Maserati for the day and had a lot of fun with it. Don't remember specifically but it was in the range of $200-300 for the day I think.
I got a BMW 4 series convertible through SIXT in Miami for something ludicrously cheap, like $140 for 3 days.
Not exactly luxury but it was very nice. Rented a BMW X5; 5/$300. Check out Costcotravel for great prices.

We’ve done it before while traveling - either through Avis or Hertz. I can’t remember.
|
Yes, back home. Not really luxury, but exotic. We used to rent a Lamborghini or Ferrari for special occasions from a luxury/exotic car rental. Can't give recommendations because that was in a different country. Oh, maybe check with Lusso dream car rentals in DC.
Years ago rented a convertible to drive down to Williamsburg. It turned out to be freezing cold and rainy that day.
Just google luxury or exotic car rental. Enterprise does it through a specialty company. A Lambo will cost something like $1500 a day.
Try TURO. Is sorta like Airb&b where people rent out their own cars. They have high end cars and exotics. I rented a Tesla for a day before deciding to buy one.
I've driven BMWs and Audis through Zipcar.
My boyfriend loans me his Audi all the time.
|
this seems pathetic to do if you're not on vacation--you can't afford to buy or lease one--you're not using it for vacation--what's the point? Are you just going to drive it for a few hours and then park it in front of your apartment? Don't do this. How old are you? I'm betting you are very young and irresponsible

Audi= one step up from VW |
Audi’s are not high end cars people!
