We only realized yesterday that he had been eating strands of his green rope toy, and took it away. He has been vomiting for three days. Every morning, he regurgitates a bit of green-tinged bubbly liquid in the living room, right before his first walk and his breakfast. It doesn't stink. he doesn't vomit at any other time.
He is otherwise his usual self, eats and drinks normally. His stools are normal. Do we just wait because he's ejecting every last bit of rope toy? Is there another explanation? Thanks. |
| You need to take him to the vet. It could be tangled up inside him somewhere. |
| Greenish yellowish vomit could be bile. You need to feed him more and keep the break between evening and morning feedings shorter. |

Yeah, I'm wondering if he's just starving? Sometimes dogs vomit if they have an empty stomach & are very hungry?

OP. I didn't know this about the hunger! It's true that I've been feeding him earlier in the evening recently, about 5pm, and then he gets fed at about 7am the next morning. He's 6 months. Is that too long an interval? |

OP again. Actually now I'm thinking back about his recent behavior, he's been showing a lot more interest in our human food than before, when he was really not interested at all. This week he's been bumping his nose at us every time we sit down for a meal. Poor guy! He must be having a growth spurt or something! |
| The poor thing is hungry. Give him a midnight snack. Or a milkbone or something before bed. |

OP here. Thanks, everyone. I will feed him at shorter intervals and offer a bit more food. DCUM is so useful! |
| He's hungry. Can dogwalker give him a PB kong or some kibble? |
