A book that is between Geronimo Stilton level and Percy Jackson level

Anonymous
My son loves both of these series but Percy Jackson tended to frustrate him with its language. Is there something in the middle of the these levels that you recommend for an eight year old?

Series of unfortunate events might be good. All three of these series are really good as far as vocabulary. Good books.

OP you can look up Geronimo Stilton and Percy Jackson on the Scholastic Book Wizard. GS books are a (Guided Reading system) level O and most of the PJ books are a level W. There's lots to choose in between those. Here's the web page. You can browse by reading level. https://www.scholastic.com/teachers/bookwizard/
