Light interior or dark interior, new car buying.

Anonymous
Which car interior did you choose, light or dark? There are two schools of thoughts
for our area where summers are a b-tch. Some people will avoid the dark seats
like a wildfire because they heat a lot and are uncomfortable to drive in the summer.
The second approach is that dark seats are more practical and do not show the dirt
as much therefore the sacrifice of suffering the summer is well worth the end result.

So what do you drive and how do you like it? If it is light how do you like it
and does it get dirty and is it impractical?

How do you like your dark interior if you have one/

And most importantly are you happy with your choice?
Would you go with the same next time or will you never ever?

I have 2 highlanders, spanning 2 different body styles. One has light tan seats and black carpet. The other one has darker saddle tan seats and black carpet/trim.

For us it works. The seats aren’t as hot but the darker floor color hides the scuff and dirt better than an older car I had that had light tan everything.

The lighter color seats did get dirty when my kids were smaller but since they are leather, they are easy to clean.
