Please help this furner with prom

OK, so I guess we need to get DD a dress and a boutonniere for him.

What else do I need to know or do?

That’s the gist of it. Make sure she sorts out plans for dinner, transportation, taking pictures, etc. Also, talk to her about what she plans to do after prom. Make sure she has purchased tickets at school. Also, make sure that she has shoes to match her dress and that she figures out what she wants to do for hair and makeup. Does she want to go to a salon? Do it on her own? Go over to a friends house? Etc. Also, a lot of girls get their nails done before the dance. Totally optional but fun to do.

If I recall correctly, we put in our order for his boutonnière about a week or two before the dance. They had us schedule a time to come pick it up on the day of. She might want to gently nudge the guy to get her a corsage if that’s what they want to do. Guys tend to be forgetful with this stuff.

Also could be good to ask if she and her date will be going out to dinner, etc as a couple or with a group of friends. Either is fine, but it can be nice to know there is the option. (Especially if her date is more a friend than a romantic interest, going out with other couples can be fun.)

Make sure she has the right undergarments for the dress she is wearing.
