I have heard two very different reviews and am curious what others think...worth the money? Better for lunch? Anything you ate that was particularly good or bad? Thank you! |
| It's fine, not great; a cut above Cafe Deluxe but nothing fancy or ambitious. |
| They have pretty good burgers and fries, and good happy hour/Monday night specials. I like the fish tacos too. |
| I liked the food (only ate there once - dinner). I thought the menu was an interesting spin on ordinary favorites. A step above a brewery - nothing too fancy. |
| Blah, blah, blah |
| Nothing there is particularly good or bad. |
| It's totally fine but nothing special. |

I went for brunch and thought it was very good.
I was more impressed that they had pureed baby food on the menu! Ive never seen that before. |
| It's fine. (I wonder what they charge for the baby food?!) |
| its really bad. they are nice to kids but nothing over the top and food is bad. |
| Food was not very good. I had a burger and it was good, but not spectacular. My husband got their salad with tuna on top. The tuna was so salty he couldn't even eat it. My mom wasn't impressed with her meal. Pretty disappointing because I wanted to impress my mom. |

OP here -- thank you so much for the honest responses! |
| really? we went tothe ones in tysons a couple months ago for lunch and really liked it -- my husband had the crab cake and i had a chicken salad. LOVED their sweet potato fries. did think it was a bit expensive though... maybe we are just not sophisticated diners? |
| Mediocre food, mediocre service and boring ambiance. Kid-friendly in the sense that food gets to your table pretty fast and the place is loud, so nobody notices screaming kids. The best I can say for it is that it's convenient to the Warner and the National, so fine for a burger before or after a show. |

We love the original Chef Geoff's on New Mexico in NW. They are good with kids and deaf senior citizens. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service. And it is very reasonably priced. When they opened ~10 years ago, all the entrees were under $20 and they had one or two pages of wines all at the same (reasonable) price. Prices have changed with inflation, of course.
And you can get milk and cookies for dessert! Note: although I would term it "kid-friendly", your kids should still be civilized and able to sit at a dinner table. There isn't a playground or anything. |
