Maryland? For real? Again I say.... Maryland? Am I missing something?

| Why do people use Wikipedia as a reference and not a legitimate source? |
| A big middle class? It’s the median, not the average. |
| What I find odd is that DC also has the highest poverty rate. |
|
OP, It's the median household income, not the median per capita income. A two working parent household in Montgomery County will be higher than an actuary in CT with non-working spouse.
And to 17:27... Wiki cites a Census survey with the data. |

^ Potomac as recently as 30 years ago. Stoners and degenerates with rich parents? |
A working understanding of basic math concepts? |

Maryland is a state full of successful people
Sorry Virginia |
| Why are you so shocked? |
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_metropolitan_areas_by_per_capita_income Maryland is with the #1 per capita metropolitan area income too |
I guess you are right. |
Yes, why? It costs a crap ton of money to live here and Maryland is a small state. Unlike Virginia, which has a large number of people who live in much more affordable areas and/or live too far from NoVa to commute there for work. If you live in Baltimore, you can commute to DC for work if you have to. There is also more affordable housing for the middle class than some parts of NoVa. |
| You've never heard of cost-of-living? |
This made me lol ;0) And I'm a proud Marylander. There's a ton of wealth in MD---not just in MoCo. The eastern shore and Baltimore/BC have tons of uber wealthy people. |
| Ocean City is way better than Virginia or Delaware beaches. |
