Do you have one?
How do you like it? |

I would suggest staying a long weekend (at least 3 nights) at a hotel that has sleep number beds. I think the Radison does.
We were all set to buy a sleep number bed. My best friend has one and loves it, several other friends love theirs, etc. We decided to go to a Radison for a long weekend just to be sure. Made a mini vacation of it. We hated the bed. My DH and I just could never find that comfort level - it just wasn't for us. We bought a different bed. |

We bought one almost five years ago and I LOVE it. I was waking up at night in pain -- but it stopped when we got the new bed.
I still hate sleeping anywhere else. |
If you went into an actual Select Comfort store, they help you figure out your comfort level - they inflate the bed fully, then tell you to indicate when you feel support at various points on your body. I'm guessing you didn't try that in the Radisson. We have had a "sleep number" bed for about four years (bought it when I was pregnant and uncomfortable) and I have LOVED it. It was particularly spectacular while pregnant - my comfort level changed a lot during that experience, and the bed could change with me. |
| I don't think the Raddison ones are the true Sleep Number beds you would get for your home. I fell in love with a sleep number bed that I tried at the store at Montgomery Mall, but it was way too expensive. I slept on a Raddison sleep number for one night and it was a joke. The worst thing I've ever slept on. I would NOT trust Raddison beds as an indication of the sleep number you would get. I think it's kind of like when fancy salons market a line of thier shampoo or conditioner through a hotel and it's never as good as if you were to buy it on your own. It's always a watered down JV version. I think it is terrible advertising on Sleep Number's part to but sub-par beds in Raddisons. |
| Thank you all! I'll try both, the store and a hotel with the real one. |
I'm the PP who went to the Radisson. We did go to the stores - multiple times. At the store I could sometimes get comfortable - but not always. My number seemed to be all over the place. Then again, I sleep all over the place. It just ended up not being for us. The Radisson beds might not be the top of the line, but they are Sleep Number Beds. I'd rather not spend thousands and be miserable. We went with a different bed (went to many bed places and tested them out) and found one we really like. Most people I talk to love their Sleep Number Beds. But, it might not be for 100% of the population. At least, it wasn't for me. |
