Tone back of thighs

Anonymous
I'm in mid 50s and post menopausal. I"ve packed on over ten pounds in the last few months and have a plan to lose. But how can I tone the backs of my thighs? The cellulite is driving me crazy. Always been there but looks worse now as I age. Appreciate any suggestions.

If you work on an overall body toning and weight loss plan, the back of your thighs should fall into place. Plenty of thigh/leg and core exercises should should have you taut in no time. Do these: https://www.worldwidelifestyles.com/dumbbell-jump-squat/

OP - part of the reason you are noticing this more now is because as we get older our skin becomes thinner and less taut, which makes our already existing fat/cellulite more noticeable.

Another component is hormones. Are you on HRT now that you're in menopause?

Those are your hamstrings and you need to build them up to make the back of your legs look good.

Get an exercise ball and do hamstring curls
Romanian dead lifts with dumbbells or kettlebell
Single leg deadlifts
Lunges - walking lunges, curtsy lunges, static pulse lunges
Cable kickbacks

No. I declined, largely because other friends shared their concerns about possible cancer, etc. Was this a mistake?

run (or power walk) up and down hills

Definitely yoga - the warrior poses are fantastic for this. Basically they are lunges that are held (without the up and down of multiple lunges which can annoy the knees). Be sure to watch your form (knee over the ankle).

Squats.
