Why is Northeastern (NEU) so popular with both parents and students these days?

You do have to admire this person's never give up attitude.

This person is an obvious anti-NEU troll. Not sure why they get to keep pushing their garbage. They need to get a life.

Same. The deranged booster is the best.

How is that name calling helping you? Is it helping you cope with being rejected? How about rejected from Northeastern? Hard pill for you to swallow, apparently.

Nope. Did not apply. Just enjoy your crazy.

Another bystander, but I'm so over the crazy booster. This thread has run its course 5x over!

Except there is no “booster” only OP and their small contingent who are “haters”, and those with experience who know better and correct them. Then OP and their two friends chime in with the name calling.

I must say that I’ve never seen quite a temper tantrum about being denied from a college before. For shame, OP and their two friends. Don’t expect to bully kids about their college choice and not have people tell you to eff off, “big, tough man”.

The problem with the NEU booster or boosters (we lack full knowledge) is that they are not smart enough to boost well and discreetly. For example, always attacking the “OP” as if the “OP” is continually posting on a 40+ page thread. Then the next thing is always blaming someone’s distaste of the boosting on being rejected by the school, when they have no idea if that is the case. The NEU replies are based on flawed logic and are so absurd in the claims regarding peer schools that it almost seems as if the booster is in on the joke and is being sarcastic while trolling and messing with us about Northeastern. A lot of people on DCUM are smart and the NEU booster seems to lack the intellectual chops to even boost effectively, which in turn makes the boosting even more infuriating.

You lack basic reading comprehension. There is no booster - there are posters who think you are ridiculous in your tactics. Hence, they tell you why, and you don't like it, so you use that word ad infinitum. You just love that word that much, and you have nothing else left. Certainly not facts, as several PPs have stated. Now you are resorting to gaslighting, as you do, and your predictable pattern has been pointed out several times: post ingenuous question, continue with inaccuracies, when your post dies down you revive it with gaslighting and more inaccuracies, sprinkle in absurdities to draw negative attention.

Same pattern each time. It detracts from the community who is trying to learn facts about colleges, and now most of us know not to go to an anonymous board for college information, as it has become clear that you never even visited this school. Yet, you and yours keep posting. You are in desperate need of attention and have serious mental issues.

Posters would inevitably react to your absurdities and predictabilities, were it any school - because you are inaccurate and absurd. You are a sore loser who, along with your equally limited friends, wants to keep your absurd post going as long as possible. You simply don't know when to stop.

Posters have told you that they are sorry for you that you were not admitted. There is nothing else that they can do for you.

I’m not even an NEU “hater,” but …..“Northeastern, a school now ranked 53rd in the nation by U.S. News & World Report — and not long ago, more than 100 slots lower than that — and which spends less per student on instruction than the Boston public schools.” From NYTimes “Peak College Admissions. Insanity”

Same. I was completely puzzled why DS’ friends were gunning for Northeastern. It wasn’t a school that got even a glance when DH and I were college kids.

Seems some of the DCUM posters, the “haters” if you will, latch onto anything they can to justify their having been rejected.

What was the word used upthread? In regard to OP and/or PP getting his panties in a twist about being denied admission? Not having visited the school? And calling anyone in disagreement with his name calling a “booster”? Imagine seeing the world so black and white?

DELICIOUS.

Not so “puzzling”, if one is accepted to one of their strong programs.

DP. YOU are the person who keeps asserting someone (or everyone?) was denied admission, but, I haven't seen anyone on this thread who was!

Too much sugar for you, Kool-Aid Man booster/marketer. (That PP got it perfectly right).

We visited. DD did not apply. In at T10. Over all the NEU spin and this marketer making up crap and sucking tge air out if the room. Thanks to the PP for the NYT article. Interesting. Not surprised.

Yet you are “surprised” people do not admit to not being admitted? You sound brilliant! /s.

Also, lol at T10. What as mentioned upthread? “All my MIT friends post on DCUM”? Classic. I should make my own t shirt with that slogan. Dying.
