1. Is this a cool thing to do for 13 year old boys?
2. If your child has done this, or they have attended, how many "adventures" (laser games) did you pay for: one or two? 3. How many participants would you say would be the minimum for it to be fun? 4. Will the kids want to play the arcade games afterward, and as hosts, are we obligated to pay? Thank you! |
| Honestly, most of the kids have laser tag parties around age 8-10. 13 is just too old for that, and often too old for an organized birthday party at all. Maybe have him take a handful of friends to an escape room or something. |
I disagree. My son did laser tag for his 13th and he and his friends had a blast. OP, we paid for everyone to have two games.and provided transportation since boys were all from our neighborhood. So arcade games were not on the table. We just rounded.kids.up and told them it was time for cake at our house. |
I agree. As long as it is an informal, haul a carload of kids to the party and back kind of thing like this person did, lasertag is a great 13 year old party for boys Middle schoolers love laser tag. |
| 6-10 kids so they can be split into teams, though some places will mix groups if there aren’t enough people. 2 games with pizza in between. |
| My 13 year DD loves parties like this. I like the laser tag place that comes to your house - feels a bit more grown up to do it outside in your own yard. Price is about the same, if I recall. |
| I agree that it’s still fun at 13. We even have some dads who love laser tag! |
I didn't know this was available, thanks! |
| could also do paintball |
Our DS just turned 11 and he is kinda bored with laser tag at this point. Next year is definitely going to be "handful of friends do something special" rather than a party as such. |
If I pay $400 for a party, one of the important benefits I get from that expenditure is I do NOT have fifteen 13 year old boys rampaging around my house.

| Agree, they still like it when they are older, as it's a different game - more strategies, alliances, etc.... |
