| looking to get away w/my SO for a weekend without the kids. looking for luxury and resort setting where we dont need to leave the resort to do anything. i've heard of the homestead resort, what is that like? anything on the eastern shore? |

Chesapeake Hyatt
Inn at Perry Cabin |
| I like Homestead - they have stuff to do but you can also just relax. |
| Cheapeake Hyatt is not luxury. |
| Nemacolin is nice, you can hit the Frank Lloyd Wright house too. |
| Wintergreen |
NOT luxury. |
| Salamander in Middleburg. |

The Homestead is nice, although a little longer than 3 hours. There is also the Greenbrier if you are going to drive longer than 3 hours.
Wlliamsburg Inn is very nice if you like colonial history. The Chesapeake Hyatt is okay. It's a nice getaway but not a luxury resort. Some people like Lansdowne but I feel like it's more of just a conference facility but maybe that's because I've only been there for conferences. Bedford Springs is good for a weekend visit. |
| No kids? Salamander in Middleburg. |
Agree re Bedford. |
What would you suggest for Eastern Shore? |
There isn't really anything luxury. Some will chime in with Inn at Perry Cabin. To me it is not luxury and your don't really get luxury service. If you don't plan on leaving hotel and just want pool and spa, the Four Seasons Baltimore is nice. |
Again not luxury. |
What are your luxury suggestions? |
