Private Middle Schools

We are thinking of going private for Middle School. We live in S.PG County and don't want to travel much past Cheverly/Largo. I'm open to all suggestions! What schools have you heard good things about or that your kids are in? I've heard Excellence is good as well as Reid Temple. I'm open to all suggestions.

By the way, my daughter is not TAG. I'm open to public middle schools, too, but it seems like you need to be TAG to hit a good one based on a previous post I saw. Thoughts about that??

I would highly recommend Friends Community School in College Park, just off of Kenilworth Ave. As middle schoolers at FCS my children have become more engaged, curious, diligent, and compassionate. It's a wonderful community.

St. Jerome Academy in Hyattsville. Very satisfied. Have other kids who went to public middle school so we can compare.
