Kids are 10 and 7. Both love shows and animals. Mild rides are great. More intense and scary rides are out. They’re just not into that yet.
Any last minute advice on “must see” or “must do” things? We’re way too late to Fast Pass the Pandora/Avatar rides, but we’re planning to get there an hour early and race to get on line for the more mild/boat one. (We’ll probably skip the 4-D one entirely. Longer lines and the kids were a little freaked out by the YouTube video of it.) |
| The boat ride is boring. I wouldn't wait more than 10 mins for it. Flights of Passage is awesome. The Lion King show is better than the Nemo show. Tusker House is good for lunch. Do the safari ride. |

Agree about safari ride, and Tuskegee house, relatively easy to get reservation there for character lunch or dinner. Also recommend lightnshow at night, my DD about the age of your kids really
Inked it,esp. with little gut toy you n buy that matches the music |
| We loved the Nemo show. Eat dinner in the lodge soyou can look out at the animals. |
| Thanks! Would Flights of Passage be rough on a 7 yo who sometimes gets motion sick on planes? |
| We went in January and the avatar ride is by far the best part of animal kingdom. We had early hours and it took 1 hr. I would have waited up to 2 for it. Although it did break down later in the day so I can’t imagine how disappointed the people waiting in line must have felt. The safari was great also but the avatar ride is the best. |

If you call ahead, you can find out if any of the animals are being treated at the veterinary station, and you can go watch. It's a train ride, and there's a petting zoo there, too, if your kids aren't too old for that.
Could be cool if it's an unusual animal. |
| I didn't love the Avatar ride. My husband and kids did, though. |

We were just there earlier this week. Loved Tusker House for breakfast. We actually had a 10:20 reservation and they put out lunch foods too toward the end.
For rides, we really liked the safari and Flight of Passage. Also Kali River Rapids. Lion King show was very good. |
| Lion King show was awesome. |

Don't waste your time on the boat ride Pandora/avator. Boring.
You can try to rush in for the real avatar ride...it was a 215min wait when we were there. It was reduced to 130 min during a parade and rain showers. We FPed it, but the reason the line is so long is that there isn't a quick turnover, say, like with a roller coaster. There's a 10 min video, standing inside, getting on to the motorcycle thingy, etc. Once on, tjiugh, totally awesome. You need to ride it like 4x bc there's so much color and stuff to see. I didn't even see the movies, but loved it. Do you have the magic hours perk? Yetti roller coaster is our family fave. We had a character breakfast at the Tusker House. Really good. Like Pp we scheduled it for 1030am and got both breakfast/lunch options, although they shoo-ed us out rather quickly. Consider the safari at dusk. I wanted to do it figuring it woukd be cool to see the nocturnal animals. It's a new thing, I think, bc I thought AK staff herded the animals inside at night |

Safari & kali rapids for sure. Agree with advice to go for avatar early. The boat ride is ok, but I wouldn’t bother waiting for it. Rafikis planet watch is a (
good spot if it’s hot or raining. We like the bird show. The avatar land looked pretty amazing at sunset/night. |

My 7 and 10 yo have ridden literally every ride at Disney, including Everest and Rockin Roller Coaster. Do not waste your time on Na’vi River Journey. Flight of Passage is amazing but only rope drop it if you can arrive 90 minutes before park open (yes, really.) If not, don’t bother.
Festival of the Lion King is the best show there. The Safari is awesome. |
| My kids also like to take a break at ththe boneyard playground. |
