So proud of my ADHD DD report card

My 13 year old DD has ADHD and it’s medicated with Ritalin. She missed the honor roll by one subject
Reading B
Art. C+
Science. B
Health pe. A
English. B
Us history. B
Math. 7 B

She might be in small classes but I love her grades and I am so proud of her. We need to proud of our ADHDer

Take her for some ice cream or a movie to celebrate.

Your DD is rocking it!!

One thing: make sure that you give her the opportunity to SAVOR her success. I mean that quite literally: have a moment where you tell her that you want to take in the sensation of accomplishment and success. Ask her what that feels like for her. Having a felt experience of success is crucial for our kids with ADHD.

Did she really miss it because of Art? I used to miss honors because of PE.

Just because she was one half grade away from Honor Roll, and I suspect the girl would have been over-the-moon excited to get honor roll. I'm not saying she didn't deserve the C+, I assume she did, just that it's a bummer to miss it by such a small amount in a non-core class.

My 7th grader with severe ADHD has straight As, which is expected.

I do praise his diligence and efforts.
