NY Hotel, allows larger dogs and with multi-room suites?

Anonymous
Does this exist? I am having trouble parsing this out on the search engines. We have a party of 5, so would need at least 3 beds. I find a lot of the "suites" only have 2 beds, or a bed and a pullout couch.
Any suggestions welcome!

Why do you need to take your large dog on vacation?

You could try affinia.com they definitely have suites.

Look at AirBnB.

Most La Quintas allow pets with no weight restrictions.

That's a house, not a hotel. Try air bnb or VRBO.

Thanks, PP -- Affinia looks good. They had lots of suites that could accommodate 5. I had never heard of that chain.

And to the PP that asked why bring the dog -- why not? He loves to go new places, it's good mental stimulation for him, he likes to be around us, the kids like to be around him. and NY is a very dog-friendly town. Also, he's not really huge, but a lot of hotels have 25 lb or 50 lb limits -- he definitely wouldn't make a 25 lb limit, and I don't want to risk it with the 50 lb limit. I wouldn't take him some place he wasn't welcome, but that was the whole point of asking for hotels that do welcome not-small dogs.

Kimpton hotels are pet friendly

I LOVE my dog, but I wouldn’t take him on a NYC vacation. The dog won’t enjoy it. And many hotels won’t let you leave the dog alone in the room.

Please don't bring your large dog to NYC.

He doesn't want that vacation. He wants to go to a doggie spa or to go stay with your mom.

NYC as a larger-dog-friendly town? No....

You're anthropomorphizing your dog. Don't do that. It's a dog. Leave it at home.

So when the kids want to do something with the whole family, and you can’t because someone has to stay with dog what do you do?

You think about that before getting a dog, or you pay someone to watch/care for the dog when you go places.
