We're investigating a few different possibilities this summer for our rising 1st grader. The ParkTakes camps seem to get mixed reviews but it's hard to beat Providence Rec for convenience, so am hoping there may be a few good ones. Any specific recommendations? Classes to avoid?
I also have the same question. My children want to take the Tech Savvy Girls camps and Providence is the most convenient location. I also need to sign them up for extended day, and wonder it that's total chaos with so many children?
We did Art camp at Providence for a number of years. (It's been about three years since we've been there, though.) We were always happy with it. The staff and counselors were really good and the facility is nice enough. Art camp would go to a nearby elementary school for the "art" part of the program though. Swimming would be in the afternoon when they returned from the offsite program. We did not do extended day. Pick-up was a tad chaotic, but these things tend to be that way.
Has anyone tried any of their gymnastics/cheerleading, tumbling or dance options?
