Gift for daycare teacher

My toddler's daycare teacher is leaving tomorrow. She is absolutely amazing and I'd love to get her a little something to say thanks. I know gift cards to target, starbucks and amazon are popular but seems a bit impersonal. Flowers? Bottle of wine? What have others done in this situation? thanks!

Just do the gift card, put it in a card, and write a sincere note of thanks to the teacher, maybe with a specific memory of some interaction with your child that was meaningful/funny/etc.

Do not give flowers or a bottle of wine unless you're 100% she will like it. I would hate those gifts. First my cats eat any flowers I get in my house and I do not drink alcohol.

A nice card saying thank you is really nice, as well as a giftcard if you want.

Ask the director what she likes. We did a class gift card plus gift basket of bath and body products, at the director's recommendation. I also did an individual card with just a note.

Oh yes! Ex-teacher here. The thoughtful notes always meant the world to me. And the gift card is awesome too.

Second the really nice letter along with a gift card. I usually end up doing Target or Amazon since she can get anything she wants.
