School options in Annandale- Braddock hills

Cross posting here. We are considering moving to this community in the Columbia ES school district. We have no idea what the public ES is rating from a parent perspective for ou young DC - as we are looking for strong academics, community school with caring and well regarded educators. If we weren’t happy after moving here what would be reasonable options other than the designated public elementary school? We wouldn’t have a large budget for private. Also we arent very familiar with this specific neighborhood other than it’s a desirable commute for DH to DC. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.
