| Using them in a recipe. Any idea where I can find these locally? I’ve checked a couple of local groceries to no avail. |
| Try Giant on Rockville Pike - the large store in the Montrose shopping plaza. That store has everything. I am almost certain I’ve purchased those cookies there. |
| It’s been a few years since I’ve bought them. Depending on your timing, amazon might be a good bet esp if you don’t feel like running to 6 stores in search of |
| I think I’ve seen them at a few Giants-the one in Falls Church City maybe? |
|
I found them at the Shoppers Food Warehouse in Rockville.
Also have trouble finding them so when I saw them I bought several and now have them in my pantry. When you find them buy a bunch. |
| I have seen them at Giant, too! At Montrose Giant and Old Georgetown Road Giant. |
| Harris Teeter usually has them on the end cap of ice cream sundae supplies in the freezer section |
| Broad Branch Market in CCDC. |

Well-stocked Giants, yellow box, usually the top shelf. Or Wegmans (I know for certain the one near Largo has them).
Are you making an icebox cake? |
Oh no! Just learned that these are discontinued! Anyone use Oreo Thins for the icebox cake?? (If you know, you know).
Nabisco’s Famous Chocolate Wafers have been discontinued from Mondelez International’s product line to make way for a “new innovation,” according to a Facebook post in the Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers Fan Club group, which has more than 1,500 users. While Mondelez International quietly discontinued the cookies with no real announcement earlier this year, the Fan Club members called the company to get to the bottom of it. And it seems the decision still stands, despite dozens of commenters claiming they called Mondelez International to tell them they would like the Famous Chocolate Wafers to return. Nabisco confirmed the wafers were discontinued back in February 2023 when a customer tweeted “@nabisco Why can’t I find your chocolate wafer cookies?? Need them for my cheesecake.” To which, the official Nabisco account responded “Unfortunately, they're no longer available.”

Use Dewey’s brownie crisp cookies instead. You can find them in the cookie aisle at most grocery stores. |
| I tried Oreo thins and it was not good in the cake. |
Thank you. I will try the recipe. |
Good to know. Bummer. |
