Why was thread deleted

Hi. Wondering why my post "lessons from a black friend" get deleted? It told of how appalled I am to witness the awful things that my friend experiences, things that a white person in the DMV doesn't have to worry about.

It seems like so many random threads are getting deleted lately-for what seems like no reason. DCUM isn't was it used to be.

I think that Jeff is cracking down on phrases that have the potential to bring in the hordes. "Lessons from a black friend" definitely has that ring to it, and he might not actually have read or cared about the content of the post. You could have said: "What my AA friend has had to suffer" and it wouldn't have been quite as electrifying.

It was a rambling rant with a go fund me type link at the end.

DELETED within seconds of posting a concerning topic regarding an NRA tweet, directly targeting kids that participated in student walk out yesterday...shame that 1st amendment rights are not respected as much as 2nd amendment!

This is a private discussion forum. What does the 1st amendment protection against government restriction of free speech have to do with a private forum?
