Beach vacation to Florida -beach chairs and umbrella question

Now that we are traveling again we will probably do a beach vacation every year. I am not a beach person but 4 yr old loves it and DH tolerates it fine.

Do you carry an umbrella and chairs to every beach trip or just rent there if it’s only a couple of days or for longer buy and give away/dispose?

If you carry, can you suggest which ones are lightweight and good?

Depends on the beach and where you are staying.

If the resort/hotel is on the beach we usually reserve through hotel.

If there are independent vendors on the beach we use them and reserve for the whole week on day one. If they are first come, first serve I slip them some cash to make an exception.

If no services are available we asses the situation and maybe hit up a beach store for chairs and umbrella. Either drop at good will or donate somewhere else on our way out of town.

Why are your planning t go to the beach every year if you don’t like it and your husband just tolerates it?

We stay in oceanfront rented condos. There are always beach chairs in one of the condo closets. We carry those to the beach each day - a short walk. NBD. There have to be a lot of people at a beach to support a rental service - we go for less crowded beaches.

I think they are doing it for their 4 yr old lover of beaches
