Recommend your mascara

So, having emerged from my new mom fugue state and realizing I need makeup STAT, I've been trying to replace all my old stuff. Except I can't find my mascara. I used to love Neutrogena Weightless Volume mascara. I've looked at Walgreens, CVS, Target and even my supermarket and I've seen other Neutrogena mascara's but not their weightless volume. Has it been discontinued? It was the only mascara that I could wear without it running into my eyes and burning by the end of the day.

Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knows another good mascara for sensitive eyes.

OP - are you applying mascara to the bottom lashes? Or moisturizing too close to the eyes? Wondering why the mascare is running. Somehow, it's coming into contact with an oil. Mascara should also not be applied to the bottom lashes.

I am the pickiest when it comes to mascara. Just thrilled with Lancome's - the one with the motor in it which makes the brush vibrate and evenly coat. It is perfection! Big fringe with one coat. No clumping. 30 seconds to apply to both eyes. It also curls the lashes so no need for a lash curler.

My problem is that I have really really oily skin. And I've never been a fan of the whole mascara on the bottom lashes look. At most, if it's a special occasion and I'm goin for super dramatic I'll use eyeliner on the bottom lid. For every day its one coat and a little neutral eyeshadow.

I'll have to give Lancome a try. Vibrating mascara, that sounds awesome.

i love the bourjois maxifrange mascara, and to me, it seems to have major staying power. but i mostly just love it because i barely have any lashes and it really helps to build the length out

OP - sounds like you could benefit from a primer to keep the oily skin at bay. I love Smashbox. Will help keep mascara from running - and anything else. Also keep any eye cream you use below the orbital ridge (big bone) only. Good luck!

I too have oily skin. I've tired everything (except Lancome) and like L'oreal's Splash Out the best. Oh, and L'oreal is owned by Lancome. Try it, it's about $6

I go between chanel and lancome, love both. Doesn't run.

Hands down, Lancome Definicils.
Dior Show is good too, but ran too much on me.
After picking up a pink and green Maybelline mascara to save money and which ran off right away I walked into the department store to go back to Lancome.

do a search at www.makeupalley.com for every mascara

I just started using Kiehl's Mineral Mascara--so far so good. I am pretty picky about mascara, but have sensitive eyes so it limits my choices and this one makes great long lashes. On the cheaper end, I have liked Maybelline Long and Soft (or is it Lush?). Lancome is also great

I like MAC's mascara. They've never looked so long and thick.

I use a Lancome base and a Chanel mascara and nothing runs. NOTHING.

Maybe you should thinking about trying one of those "tube" mascaras? There is one in drugstores(L'oreal maybe), but it has two steps. Trish McEvoy has one that I like a lot, and then sephora has a couple. Because of the tubes, they don't smear, flake or run. They wash off with just water

I use Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint and have never had a problem with clumps or stuck-together lashes. Every time I've tried to use real mascara after that, i couldn't stand it- my lashes felt hard and fake. This one definitely does not do that.
