We have a large raised bed that has compacted considerably over the winter and I probably need a pickup truck full of dirt to refill it. We've ordered dirt from two places before, one had good quality dirt, but charged us for considerably more than what we received, the second's quality was quite poor.
I would love recommendations for a place that has a good compost/soil mix. Thanks! |
| Last year I ordered a bunch of topsoil from Remington mulch and found it to be very good quality. It was screened and didn't contain rocks/crap in it that you might get from some places. I'm not sure who you used but that's my experience with them. I also ordered some from my local garden center and found it to be pretty good. It didn't contain as much compost in the mix (as it was a more brown vs black) color. |
| Where are you located? RELS and Grey Goose Farm in MoCo are decent sources. Delivery fees are not cheap. If you need just a pickups worth it might be cheaper for you to rent a truck and bring it home yourself. |
