Infertility Support and Discussion
|
Would love to hear from folks who have been through or are going through IVF with egg donation.
How long did it take to work? Did it not work and then what did you do? Any other recs? |
| I haven't done DE, but I think one issue is whether you've had a child before, e.g. whether you have a "proven" uterus. If so, and if you don't have endo or other problems that may interfere with implantation, then you've removed a number of the variables and have a good shot. On the other hand, not every DE IVF works - no matter how young the donor, how good the embryo, or even if it has been tested and is genetically normal. But I would look at your clinic's DE stats on SART, and talk to your RE about your own chances. |
| I have a friend that did DE IVF. She actually has no eggs at all (has been this way her whole life). Everything else is fine though. Did donor egg w/husband's sperm and it worked on the first cycle. She was 28 when she got pregnant. |
| Currently pregnant with twins from FIRST cycle using donor eggs. ED is 24 years old and a proven donor. |
